Christ City of Refuge exists to provide structured transitional housing, employment support, and transportation assistance to individuals overcoming homelessness, addiction, and incarceration. Through accountability, stability, and community partnership, we help individuals rebuild their lives and move toward long-term independence.

Christ City of Refuge is a work-based transitional housing program providing safe, structured housing for individuals working toward stability and independence.

Residents are paired with employment and expected to save $300 each week from their earnings with the program while receiving support with transportation, budgeting, identification, driver's licenses, and other barriers to self-sufficiency. Every dollar being saved belongs to the resident.

Our goal is for each resident to leave with stable employment, meaningful savings, reliable transportation and driver's license, and the resources needed to maintain independent housing.

When someone is ready for help, transportation should never be the barrier.

Christ City of Refuge provides crisis transportation to detox and rehabilitation facilities and other safe shelters, helping individuals reach the services they need when they have nowhere else to turn.

For those completing detox or rehabilitation, the opportunity to transition directly into our Life Transformation Residential Program provides continued structure and support, increasing the likelihood of long-term success and independence.

Christ City of Refuge offers a peaceful, structured environment where residents can focus on rebuilding their lives.

Our campus includes seven individual residential cottages, along with shared spaces for meals, fellowship, laundry, and daily living. The quiet setting provides residents with both community and personal space as they work toward stability and independence.

More than a place to stay, our campus is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for a fresh start.

Our team is made up of experienced, caring, and compassionate professionals who are dedicated to helping those we serve achieve a fresh start. We provide 24/7 support and care, and work closely with each resident to ensure that they are making progress towards their goals.

Faith is at the heart of Christ City of Refuge. Residents are encouraged to grow spiritually through Sunday morning services provided by our Founder, Jimmy Johnson. Our goal is to provide more than a safe place to stay, we strive to create an environment where individuals can find hope, purpose, and lasting change. All are welcome!
